Web graphics history and reality

Since beginning of the web history web-sites creates like information storages. But with time necessity was arise to enlarge this information with visual design. There are not enough only HTML features for theses goals, therefore web-sites creators begin to use graphics in their work. Web graphics age starts with GIF and JPEG formats. JPEG format was used for photo-like graphics; GIF was used for animation and colorless images. The main web graphics demand is the image size, therefore there are many methods is appear to decrease image sizes for web.

Web graphics formats and PixBuilder web graphics support
